That is definitely the female fruit fly that behaves like that. A male fruit fly would be asleep within 2 minutes. Very interesting, though. It is amazing how much we can learn about sleep by studying insects. Thank you, doctor.

Great post. I find the difficulties and choices made by couples in their sleeping habits to be fascinating. I’d love to read more on this topic.
